Join us for Community Living Hamilton’s new SUMMER VIBES program.

Each week-long session offers transitional-aged youth and adults with developmental disabilities the opportunity to take part in exclusive, themed programming and events. See detailed session dates and descriptions below.

SUMMER VIBES participants will be accompanied and supported by program staff on day trips to select hot-spot destinations, share in a variety of engaging, group-based activities and enjoy fun and inclusive summer-time experiences.

Sessions run Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Register early as space is limited.
$900 per 1-week session.

July 4-8: Fun, Fitness and Sport
Designed to bring the fun! If you enjoy games, hiking, and adventure, you are going to love this week of activities. Activities include: The Flying Squirrel, Hiking, picnic, bowling, Dave and Busters and Adventure Village

July 11-15: Creative Challenges
Are you a creative person? Creative Challenges week will have you creating mixed media arts, roaming a lavender farm, and posing for pictures, painting at crock a doodle and creating a themed meal only by colour!

July 18-22: Science and History
We will take you back in time to experience our history and discover how things work. Highlights include the War Plane Heritage Museum, Ontario Science Centre, Hermitage Gatehouse, and Historic Garden Tour. We will even create our own science experiments.

Aug 8-12: Green Thumb
If you have an appreciation for the outdoors and nature, you are going to love our activities this week. Highlights include a visit to a green house, the Royal Botanical Gardens, creating your own sun catcher, Dundurn Historic Garden Tour, and picnics.

Aug 15-19: Sweet Treats and Food Network
We have something sweet planned for you this week. Join us in a lollipop lab and create your own cake pop. We will be touring a chocolate factory, a cheese factory and creating our own carnival eats. I don’t know about you, but I am getting hungry just thinking about it.

Aug 22-26: Community Connections
This week we are all about the fun in our own backyards. We will go hiking and swimming at Shade’s Mill as well as enjoy a Harbour Tour and trolly ride. We will experience the wonder and excitement of Niagara Falls with fun passes and enjoy a pizza party picnic in Gage park.
